Teen Mental Health: Ages 13-18

Program Overview

AIGAS provides specialized programs catering to the mental health and substance use needs of individuals aged 13-18. These programs are designed to support teenagers grappling with anxiety, depressive symptoms, and the impact of substance abuse use on their daily functioning. Our evidence-based approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to guide individuals toward achieving their treatment goals.

At AIGAS, we employ a diverse range of treatment methods, from harm reduction to abstinence, tailored to each individual’s unique treatment requirements and concurrent mental health symptoms. Our primary objective is to help individuals comprehend the intricate relationship between their mental health and substance use.

Adolescents enrolled in our programs engage in regular meetings with a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner, ranging from 1 to 3 times per week as deemed appropriate. Additionally, they participate in weekly sessions with a master’s level clinician and/or a Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC). Family therapy sessions are a crucial component and are required every week. Urine drug screen monitoring is implemented based on recommendations from the treatment team.
